About US

SEBA (Social Edification of Benign Assimilation Society) is a national nonprofit organization established on July 1, 1997. Due to its effective initiatives and increasing public demand, SEBA obtained registration from the NGO Affairs Bureau in 2001. The organization was founded by Ms. Mina Halder, who currently serves as its Executive Director.

In 1997, the organization embarked on its journey, initiated by a small group of insightful men and women, under the thoughtful leadership of Ms. Mina Halder. Their mission was to assist the underprivileged, with a particular focus on women and children. SEBA’s key initiatives include providing educational support to disadvantaged children, fostering the socioeconomic development of vulnerable women, promoting gender equality, protecting the environment, addressing climate change, advocating for human rights, supporting people with disabilities, and aiding communities affected by coastal natural disasters, such as fishermen and farmers, as well as minority groups.

SEBA's significant contributions to society have earned the organization various forms of recognition. It is actively implementing a variety of development projects and a microfinance program aimed at helping local communities. The organization maintains strong partnerships with local churches and regularly conducts church-related activities. SEBA operates with dedication across multiple districts in the Khulna Division.

Mission

Increase intercommunal collaboration and provide accessible inclusive opportunities to the vulnerable communities for social, economic and moral growth to improve the quality of life to the targeted communities specially for vulnerable women, children and their families, and to promote sustainable development for all.
